2016 has been another big year for Glasgow Underground. The label has seen more records released with more success than ever before. Artists like Kevin McKay, Camelphat, Illyus & Barrientos, Vangelis Kostoxenakis, De La Swing, Kydus, Piemont, Per QX and of course Romanthony became regular features on BBC Radio 1's evening schedule. Along with those mentioned, producers like Dennis Cruz, Alaia & Gallo, Landmark, J Paul Getto, Emery Warman & GuyMac, Mario Ochoa, CJ Jeff, Andre Hommen, Hollen & Kaiserdisco delivered the hits on both Beatport and Traxsource (where the Kevin McKay scored the labels first 2 #1 releases - in May with the J Paul Getto Remix of his own "What U Want" and later with his bumping groove "The Oooh Song"). Another key feature of Glasgow Underground's year was its success regardless of genre as GU releaases hit the charts in house, deep house, tech house and techno. Next year Glasgow Underground is 20 years old and there are big plans to celebrate such a milestone in dance music. Looks like things are setting up nicely for it.
