A glowing beacon in seasonal shift, the quarterly Particles compilation series shines brightly trailblazing a path of new and established talent with a collection of new tracks. The opening months of 2015 are no exception to this trend as "Winter Particles 2015" opens its doors on another year accompanied by a cutting edge new design courtesy of Ben Mautner.

An eleven track odyssey through the current underground progressive house scene, coupled with a liberal sprinkling of electronica, the smooth, emotive sounds of Peter Martin open proceedings with the picturesque "Postcards From Brasil", before Canadian Biologik, provides a slice of four-to-the-floor heaven with the sumptuous sounds of "Caroline". A strong beat underpins a smorgasbord of melody and swaying pads to create a work of contemplative joy. The Magnetic Brothers pick up the reigns with similarly strong rhythms and delightful groove. Bass and melody play off each other as the Russian pair create a deep house tinged vibe of pure dance floor joy. Closing the first quarter, Belarusian, Michael A continues his rich vein of form with another delightful offering, full of his trademark groove, intricate motifs and considered approach to his craft.

Picking up the tempo with a quick-paced percussion section, Mohn (NL) and Aecium create a wondrous bass-fuelled work in "The Deepest" as it drives relentlessly forward, before a mirrored lead-line adds further force. Veterans, Ewan Rill and Loquai, illustrate their continued dominance of the underground scene with a cleverly orchestrated track that bears all the hallmarks of their solo work combined into a mesmerising collaborative effort full of soul and "Beat Meditation". Polish producer E.F.G., creates a strong rhythmic bed on which to lay the foundation of his "Home" before the ethereal vocals of Minette Fourie provide a moment of ecstasy amidst a maelstrom of delayed arpeggios and strong house beat. A second Canadian then enters the fray and emerging talent, Dustin Nantais illustrates precisely why his production talents are in such demand with "One Week to Live": a tour de force of running beats counterpoint melodies and dynamic bass line.

Luka Sembe makes his presence felt with a debut that is sure to capture the imagination as "Petrichor" takes the listener on a journey of heightened emotion through a series of complex melodic lines that rise and fall in delight, resolving to rhythmic glory in the second half. Reinterpreting Matt Rowan's work, Argentinean, Martin Etchegaray provides a low-slung approach full of house sensibilities and a vocal cut that epitomises the genre. A unique take on the Australian's work is sure to find favour with many. The legend that is Exoplanet closes the compilation with a sublime breaks-inspired offering that takes a vocal sample, twisting and turning it into a rhythmic form of its own while adding a layer of melodic prowess that only the Dutch master could summon.

Eleven new tracks from a galaxy of talent from across the globe has seen "Winter Particles 2015" start the year in emphatic fashion.
