  • Description Dutch producer, Tim Brandwijk, better know as Embliss to music lovers across the globe, has been a shining light in the EDM world over the last 5 years. Responsible for a string of high profile releases on Armada, Morphosis, Silk and Anjunadeep, Embliss describes his sound as something 'not to be placed in an ivory box'. As a regular contributor to both Particles and Proton, Tim has always had an acute ear for melody, energy and atmosphere in his own music productions, which then translates into his mixes and sets.

With his radio show proving ever popular and evergreen, it was a natural evolution to see his 'Mind Over Matter' series feature as part of Proton's 'Compiled and Mixed' series. After scanning his hard drive and working his way through the archives, Embliss has come up with 'of my all-time favourites from the Proton Label roster'. His selection covers a four-year span featuring assorted gems that sparkle brightly as the minutes simply dissolve across the hour-long mix. Arthur Deep, Cid Inc and Sonic Union blend seamlessly with the vocals of Jimmy Van M and Steve T and the epic sound of Andre Sobota. To single out one track would be a crime to Embliss's 'Mind Over Matter' and as such, the final word on track selection should be left to the Dutch maestro himself:

'They can all fit in today's musical landscape and I think everyone should be familiar with them. They are classics to me!'
