Herald is a rapidly rising name in the house and techno community; his trailblazing quest to export his unique brand of impassioned underground electronic music from his hometown of Tours, France to New York City and beyond has already brought him international acclaim. Originally born in Orleans, France, Herald’s childhood was a hotbed of musical inspiration; in 1992 marked the genesis of his deep love and admiration of dance music vis-à-vis the influence of house legends such as Kenny Dope, Little Louis Vega and Armand Van Helden to name a few.
After dedicating about ten years to learning the craft of producing and DJing, fast forward to 2002 when he released his first maxi single 45 on Serial Records called “You Know feat. Gee.”
Thereafter, leading to his DJ residencies in some of Paris’s most celebrated clubs and parties such as Factory, The House, Serial Party, Refresh in Electro Flore and Culture. In 2007, Herald decided it was time for a new adventure that lead him to China where he found himself curating parties at ‘Jade 36 Shanghai’ & ‘Bar Rouge.’ Those fortuitous opportunities lead him to landing a residency at ‘Lan Club Beijing.’
After returning to France in 2009, Herald continued to forge new paths in dance music building upon his past experiences by taking time to further refine and develop his productions ranging from funk to disco to house to tech house.
All of which lead him to develop some significant collaborations with the likes of French colleagues: Alex Davis, Ange Siddhar and Sid Vaga (NY/FR). These projects not only garnered the attention of big remixers like Joeski & Nathan Barato. but also lead him to release on world renown labels such as Kling Klong, Great Stuff, Maya Records, Laboratory Recordings and Serial Recordings.
Herald has been enthralling audiences on both sides of the Atlantic with his own highly distinctive mixture of American house, both classic and contemporary, and the deepest, most cutting-edge aspects of techno and tech-house. His talents, commanding positive energy and reputation have all grown immensely and continue to do so, with demand for his DJing and
producing work reaching heights and exploding worldwide. – J. Hill, www.thewritingstudio.us 2019
