  • Description The sixth edition of the successful "back to back" compilation series from Anja Schneiders Berlin club label mobilee is solely ruled by Pan-Pot this time around. The beefy package includes two CDs plus a DVD. Pan-Pot handpicks their favorite 2011 mobilee releases on the first CD while a condensed version of their own creations can be found in an arousing master mix on the second CD. And for the first time ever, the personalities behind the music can be seen and heard in a bonus DVD tour document.

With recent catchy tunes such as "Captain My Captain" and "Confronted", the bustling, ultra-creative duo played, mixed and produced their way into the hearts of countless party people. One-of-a-kind events are defined by burning fans worshiping under the charm and virtuosity from the big stage as Pan-Pot shines through the club music mishmash. Seductive moves and unforgettable melodies bare proof that their musical influence wanders far beyond the dance floor. This release provides a visual and audible insight into their creative work in the most compact form possible.

In order to justify the manifold aspects of the Pan-Pot phenomenon between sound research and party frenzy, the new compilation release comes complete with an elaborately produced DVD. MTV director Sebastian Radlmeier follows the duo on a 12-month tour through Europes most crucial clubs and festivals inviting viewers behind the scenes through a magical experience. The tour document is an artist portrait that brings us closer to two techno magnates. Behind light shows and fireworks, personal encounters are defined by contrasting personalities. The DVD experience introduces Thomas Benedix, the quirky, jokester from Brandenberg and his counterpart, the more aloof and rational Tassilo Ippenberger from Bavaria. Diligently selected snapshots depict stories from the guys innocent years in Templin and Chiemsee to their their first rendezvous with mobilee founders Anja Schneider and Ralf Kollmann. Photos and footage are worked in congenially with original music and commentary from key scene figures from the likes of MTVs Markus Kavka, producer Dubfire, fellow mobilee artist, Sebo K and mobilee booker, Diego Moreno Gibbs bind everything together. In the material, the guys give commentary from tour cities such as San Francisco, Detroit, Warschau, Barcelona, and Buenous Aires, yet never lose sight of their home base, family and friends in Berlin. Tassio explains: "In the family, no one ever stands on their own everyone is supported, brought along, introduced and encouraged. We are the best example of that. In the beginning no one knew us but today we can pull others along with us. "The absolute highlight of the film is the live-appearance with Sven Väth in Ibiza. The viewer can practically feel the tension of the two during that gig. Finally, the tour document closes with Anja Schneiders clever words: "The success of Pan-Pot lies within the chemistry between the two."

Snippets of Pan-Pots music can be heard on the DVD but on the second CD, its fired from all barrels. A melody of past releases is taken apart and reimagined through exclusive tracks, loops and sound splinters creating a compelling music piece. Three further rare pieces such as the fascinating remix from Slams techno classic "Lifetimes" successfully complete the flip side.

The first CD celebrates the "Best of mobilee 2011". The signature of unique personality-filled producers is noticeable in each of the 11 club tracks. London shooting star, Maya Jane Coles propels the clubber with hypnotic sounds like the luring melodies of a snake charmer in "Beat Faster". The magical and soft "Hello Boy!" by Anja Schneider is an adventurous cascade and for classical house moments, Martin Lansky delivers "Morning Caffeine", a highly emotional garage number. The CD carries on with an array of mobilee artists connected with a sense of the dynamic of the dance floor, while possessing an ingenuity for emotional electronic sound.

"Mobilee Back To Back Vol. 6" draws a spot-on portrait of Pan-Pot situated in their environment. The next techno mega-film after "Drei Tage Wach" and "Berlin Calling".
