Leading techno outlet Organism! turns to Amedeo Mazzotti aka Peja for another standout techno EP complete with an on-point Rich Jones remix.

Pejas sound draws on a wide musical sphere for its influences and often comes with a myriad sampled instrument sounds. To date his releases have cropped up on labels like Amazone Records and have found favour with influential DJs like Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer and Richie Hawtin, and this excellent new EP is his second for the Organism! label.

Up first is the rolling and hypnotic The Night with its sunken kicks and grainy claps. Blurting synths and whiplashing percussion help flesh out the groove and as the kicks cut out and drop back in again it doesnt take much to imagine this one going right off in a big warehouse space.

SCD is just as barrel chested with its kinetic, pinging kick drums, jittery hand claps and itchy energy that really keeps you on your toes. For fans of Drumcode and CLR this is pure techno gold.

Rich Jones is the chosen remixer and is someone who has excelled at crafting big room hypnotic techno tools lapped up by the label likes of Soma, Kanzleramt and 8 Sided Dice, as well as DJs like DVS1, Tommy Four Seven and Ben Klock.. As such his re-work transforms SCD into a scurrying, more frantic and paranoid techno jam with stacked up kicks, squirreling synth lines and deft hi hats that all work into a heady techno frenzy.

The last original from this high impact package is The Bronze Face a subliminal, wonky and woozy workout with globular bass, saw tooth synth sweeps and a teeth gritting menace that is impossible to ignore.

Once again here Organism! have mined the days finest techno talents for another non nonsense EP of well produced and hugely useful techno.
