Tim Green returns after his widely popular 'In Love EP' (and the following remix EP). He takes the same warm glow and spins it into what has become 'The Quiet Hour EP'. 'The Quiet Hour' is anything but; it's a funky piece full of jumpy bass, steady kicks and eccentric vocal cuts. It maintains a swinging feel to it, while holding you hostage with its house-y percussion.'Rust' starts things off on a different tone; acoustic guitar and handclaps create a very relaxed vibe. As Tim takes us further, he teases us with bass, kicks and light synth work, until finally letting the beast loose! We're flooded with heavy bassline, vocal samples and piano. A dynamic track full of surprises is rare these days, but Tim pulls it off with ease. Tim opens the next track with a kick and ambient synth lines. 'Scatch' is deep and warm, but gritty at the same time. Within you'll be impressed by the great percussion, Tim's use of dynamic hi-hats encourages the groove to take over. Midway in, we get a face full of creamy chords, completing the mix and leaving us feeling warm and full.
