The producers met in their home town of Aberdeen where they bonded over a shared love for the lofi house movement by the likes of Mall Grab and Dj Boring. This inspired their early releases and after creating a buzz they moved to Glasgow landing themselves a residency at Sub Club and later on FLY Club. Over the past couple years they've moved away from their contemporaries, developing their own sound and quickly cementing their place in the electronic music scene with their deep house releases on Patrick Topping’s Trick imprint, plus Positiva, EMI and Gorgon City’s Realm. Their self-confessed ‘Celtic House Movement’ is finding favour among the House elite, with support from Denis Sulta, Skream and KETTAMA.
The duo have since graced the airwaves, receiving support from the likes of BBC Radio I's Annie Mac, Danny Howard and Nick Grimshaw. They also snapped up a guest spot on Elliot Adamson's Guest Mix for Rinse FM, showcasing their unique production style.
Since the release of their high-energy EP "SMML" (2020) t e s t p r e s s have characterised their self-proclaimed "big dunt energy" with the release of "dialupdilemma" (2021). 2022 is shaping up to be a huge year for t e s t p re s s, kicking things off with EP releases with Shall not Fade and Hot Haus Records which promise to command audiences with their electrifying sound and verve.
