James Igoe, the man behind the Sunset Moments moniker boasts an impressive musical career as he's touched pretty much every genre of electronic music using different aliases. He's also one of our closest friends and collaborators. Thus it's with great pleasure that we welcome him back to the label with a breathtaking three-track EP, We live for these moments. The title track is nothing short of beautiful with its main part focusing on creating the atmosphere using exquisite chords work, ethereal piano lines and a sort of run-against-time groove. He takes things to another level with the breakdown, when pads and an accentuated piano backed by subtle vox make this track as awesome as one would expect from James. Very Coldplay-like in his display of power. The second track, Where we once stood takes the same romantic path as all of his work being quieter than the title track but by no means less powerful. This is music to watch horizons over and get lost in one's thoughts. The real surprise of this EP is saved for last with Milagro. A hypnotic rhythm arpeggio is introduced early in the mix to accompany top pads and vintage melodies are added as the track progresses. James went back to his roots on this one, providing his take on a Pryda-like track that should be a dead ringer for all old-school progressive. Top release for us here at Synth and hopefully for you, too.
