Bulgarian DJ and producer Pavlin Petrov returns to Bonzai Progressive with another sublime effort - Set Me Free. Once again he enlists the vocal talents of Selina Stoane and we can certainly see why. His last outing - Feeling Alive - also featured Selina on vocals and the chemistry created between the two did not go unnoticed. Great to see these two talented artists back once again and we hope to see much more in the future.
Set Me Free intros with a subtle percussion that lures you in before a powerful beat bursts through alongside cool synths and rich swirling pads. A deep, probing bassline rises up and settles the track into a smooth deep house groove. Mesmerizing vocals cascade over the sound and join those beautifully melodic pads to deliver a sublime dreamy vibe that captivate the mind. Top notch stuff for sure, the perfect fodder for a late night session.
Australian producer Audio Noir steps up to the plate with his Rekonstruction and shows us once more the range of skills he has to offer. Fresh off the back of his Progressive Tales 2 release, this guy remains consistent with top quality results at every turn. The remix opens with a cool arp which is soon joined by a nice, well rounded thumping kick drum. Cool percussions begin to appear delivering a shuffling rhythm that will get the bodies moving towards the floor. A gritty bassline takes over with a little help from sharp edged synths that set the track off brilliantly. The vocals fade through and bring nice contrasting textures between the smoother tones of the voice and the edgier synths. Excellent stuff once more from Audio Noir.
