After few years of workmanlike dedication to crafting his own sound, Giovanni Molinaro is ready to show as his new album Audace, which has included twelve wonderful tracks. His early releases sometimes have been full of sudden stylistic jumps, but we guess this time Giovanni has found right ideas and visions of his music. As you can see over the past few years there has been a surge of interest in sounds of Minimal House and Romanian Techno music, but the concept of a journey seems central to Molinaro, that seems to have brought a new perspective to his music. Gentle patterns of percussion evokes a mellow tribal feel. Sometimes he is pulls up ambient voices and let them to waft off rather than settle into a shape. It is a sense of space that really gives to the album a widescreen feel as impressive is a statement in and of itself. All these tracks are more perfectly, they are more rhythmically inventive and complex. Even when the music is more club-friendly, the rhythms seem designed to push the album on its journey, not bring dance floors to a boiling point, or it can get a final destination to the summery soundscape of parties on the beach as well. However, you could never accuse Giovanni's music of feeling plastic or soulless. This album shows he can capture that mood in sharper definition as well. Giovanni's talents bring a semblance of spice to his musical dish, which make a slick aesthetic of the taste.
