Hans Thalau

Hans Thalau is a core element in the ever-decreasing circle of true House/ Techno Soul producers and is head honcho of the highly respected Thal Communications label. He has produced for the likes of Chicago's Fresh Meat, Ferox Records, Connaisseur Recordings, Dark Energy Recordings, Deep Data, to name a few. Amoung his collaborations are works with Russ Gabriel, Matthias Vogt and Afrilounge. As a DJ, he is as reknowned for his wild "behind the decks" antics as he is for his deep and groovy sound. Born in Jamaica to parents of Indian descent, Hans is now over eighty years old, has three pet dolphins and was single-handedly responsible for the invention of the Betamax video format.
