This is in no small part due to Supernatures superb roster in which Robbie Akbal is key following his release launching the imprint back in 2008. Here he teams up with fellow Mexican Camilo Alvarez aka Muan, a long term friend and equally revered Mexican Dj who has released for Akbals Akbal imprint in the past.
The music itself begins with title track Paraiso, an undulating piece of modern house music littered with snippets of interplaying chords, drum fills and vocal effects. The dancefloor appeal is undeniable with this sort of groove so it fits the Supernature bill perfectly.
Supernature friend, and coincidentally the remixer of Robbies Supernature debut, Luca Bacchetti turns in a sparser interpretation which uses less percussion but develops each sound that bit further. The groove, sensibly, remains intact if it aint broke, dont fix it.
Its the smooth sound of La Roca which is unveiled next. Cut from the same cloth as Paraiso, its percussive and powered by a warm sine wave bassline but while it begins in a relatively sedate manner it picks up pace quickly.
Ruta 307 finishes the EP in a deeper, soul-infused manner which tips a nod at classic house dubs of the early 90s and does so in a respectful yet contemporary way - not a bad way to round things off.
Finally, the sleek and stabby Eco rounds of the EP nicely with a simple yet devastatingly effective slice of modern house which sums up Peles sound excellently.
