The 411 from the dancefloor is that Ramon Tapia is in the form of his life right now and anyone following the releases from his very own Say What? imprint will enthusiastically attest to this. Easily at home turning out classic house grooves as he is huge anthemic slices of Techno, the Belgium producer himself seems unaware of any recent richening of form, "I just do what I do and what I make depends on the day and mood."Well, the mood has definitely been 'House' on his recent Say What? releases and with the strains of '411' and its awesome Sante remix still ringing in the air, the label boss prepares to drop his next double-header the "Y Not EP". "Whilst I do sometimes get a rush and turn out a Techno banger, i've always really been more on the housier tip" says Ramon. "I love the raw grooves. No bullshit just boom tchak!"A statement that perfectly describes his latest ep. "Y Not" and "Stupid" reflect that love for the the groove and are delivered with Ramon's signature 'punch'. Whilst the title track keeps things moody and atmospheric with its huge break and Spanish vocal, the flipside sets the floor alight with its rasping snare rolls, stabbing synths and oldskool vocals.
