It's our pleasure to announce Stay Down EP by Birmingham UK based artist UUOO. As a multi faceted improvising artist UUOO channels elements from his wide range of abilities in music into his unique approach to techno, taking the listener on a journey of improvised discovery that exists to celebrate the immediacy of creation and collective participation. Somewhere in between the sound of analog synthesisers, trumpet, abstract vocals and atmospheric noise, UUOO grounds his music with the kind of hard hitting groove that cant be ignored. In the time UUOO has been a part of the global music scene he has collaborated with artists and the public in a huge varitey of settings including: Oxbow C.W. Stoneking Gonimoblast; John Baggott (Massive Attack, Portishead, Robert Plant) & Daisy Palmer (Paloma Faith, Goldfrapp). The author say: Stay Down "is about forced transition & the effects of social human behaviour. I wrote this tune over the course of two, very chaotic years in my life and the convoluted message i'm trying to get across is that people need to try harder with each other by being patient and understanding. It's also a message to myself..." Ja "is like being thrown in ice water at 7am. I wanted to write something that was super danceable but also structurally confusing to the listener. I enjoy music the most when it defies your expectations slightly."
