Back on Clarisse's front page after leading the three-track 'Groovapaluzza' EP from earlier this year, Angel Heredia continues to spread the word from his Spanish base one funky beat after another. Conjuring a buzz sought after by Erick Morillo, Umek, Hector Couto and Fatima Hajji, Heredia has brought his best to Barca and given Zaragosa some zing, criss-crossing the country and knocking on the door of some of Europe's more rarefied air. There's only gonna be one winner in this four-track dancefloor shootout.

The title track is the EPs opening sureshot, blasting from the bottom upwards with male diva vocals in the passenger seat and leaving traces of a passing funk phenomenon in its wake, while a simmering disco explosion keeps low in the trunk. Onto the 'Next One' and the application of fully loaded club pressure: under the guidance of a strangled synth timekeeper, Heredia stocks up on an alchemy of classic house sounds, most notably a vocal that trips off the turntable, all while bench-pressing bass rocks back and forth.

A low down bubbler with a mesmeric, made-for-Ibiza breakdown taking the track to a trance-lit underwater kingdom, destination 'Anfitrion', where fish go deeper, comes complete with a made-for-Clarisse set of twitches and tics bouncing above and below the surface. Next stop 'Utopia', a jumpy bassline and boomerang frequencies keeping the funk nice and stretchy as percussion gets jelly with it, and Heredia installing raps that duck under a fun piece of deep house like they've been called to limbo. It's official - there's plenty of 'Bang Bang' for your buck here.
