Mark Broom, fresh from an amazing 2010 himself, takes on A Small Decline and turns in an uncompromisingly imposing version which pairs and offbeat bass pulse with stripped percussion and moody vocals before an unearthly Reece bassline takes over in the break.
Label boss Adam Beyer and long time collaborator Jesper Dahlback handle Paranoize next, and deliver one of their best collaborative works yet. While nagging bass and rolling percussion do their work its the remixes overlapping effects and toplines which add depth and build seemingly endless tension.
Finally, Gary Becks machine-funk interpretation of Gridlock closes the package with an earthy yet widescreen feel which shows why the producer has become a firm favourite with everyone from Francois K to Ben Klock in recent times.
