First on the release is “Gemini” that starts with warm tones from the throbbing bassline, which in the breakdown is accompanied by the epic chords of the lead synth. It’s stripped back percussion leaves space for the synth parts to breathe and expand, and the track grows with a cosmic tension of epic proportions.
Second is “Road To Nowhere” which despite its title builds with focused direction and a clear destination. With a quirky melody and vibrant pads, the track has an enigmatic fusion of textures that paint a colourful sonic tapestry. The unexpected trumpet and vocal phrase in the main break add to the audio journey full of exciting twists and turns.
“Vibra Velvet” is third on the release and it’s chic shimmering sound full of claps and shuffling rhythms has a charismatic groove full of personality. Introduced without prior warning is the boisterous lead synth that has an eccentric sound rippling with liquid tones. Left of field and intelligent, this unusual House track is perfectly sculpted with a contemporary design.
Finishing things off is “Cosmopolitan” which is rich in melody and has an uplifting vibe that builds as the track unfolds. The jerking rhythms and swaying groove is both gentle and vibrant with keen attention to detail. Whether it’s to lift the middle of a DJ set or a start of the night, there is no doubt that this is tune is the perfect mood setter.
