Lowheads is an Italian/Ghanian duo grown in the North of Italy's underground scene. Two souls two heads: grown mainly in the New York funky- disco afrobeat Chicago house sounds. "Don’t Leave" is the name of their first release born from a collaboration with Flashmob and remixed by DJ W!ild, for Flashmob Ltd, in March 2015. Few months later it appeared inside the Defected Ibiza 2015 compilation and FabricLive 87 mix by Groove Armada . In October of the same year Lowheads release their first EP: Need Role. They debuted on a legendary label, Strictly Rhythm, afterwards re-release also on DFTD (Defected). ‘Need Role’ EP has a colorfully lit analogue soundscape. The dubby undertones in track title ‘Morphrhodes’ rolls with infectious rhythm. ‘Need Role’ is a pure house groove with a spoken word and looping gospel vocal that hints to its old school flair but the track smashes out 808 claps and a heavy hitting kick drum that is destined to take the dance music world by storm. During 2016 Lowheads mature and make their sound personal through some collaborations and remixes with different artists. After Wolf+Lamb’s We’re Gone remix on Classic Music Company, keeping things New York flavoured, Lowheads go deeper with a brooding bassline and a wall of cinematic synth. Also arrived Denali Remix for Life on Planets, release on Wolf + Lamb Label. The single also includes a sweet house-inspired treatment.Black Paradise, a spring collaboration with PillowTalk (a Californian band) is out for Crew Love Records!Last release is a Remix featured with Soul Clap and Nick Monaco for Louie Vega: “See Some Light” from “Louie Vega Star-Ring” album out for Vega Records. At the moment LowHeads are focus on their new stuff: EP, album, collaborations and some remixes.
