After their last successful vinyl EP "Amazeballs", The Cheapers digitally spin it again. No pounding beats are hiding behind the big headline "Hammer Time", more the familiar scurrile house sound that Fraenzen Texas and his buddy Ruede Hagelstein have screwed together. Furthermore: the title track "Hammer Time" is a collaboration with their British friend and movie maker Siuol Poetry, who also made their latest video "To Late" on Bar25 Records. In this case he added discreet rap-lyrics which give the track a slight hip-hop charm. "Every July" then grooves on 120 bpm in epic length- partially crowned by a lovely string ensemble. Last but not least a remix by dOP who took The Cheapers all time hit "Hey Victor" to task, ensouling it by adding new vocals and instruments.
