Orquesm debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the stunning three track DragOn. Orquesm are a Dutch DJ and producer duo aka Jeffrey Bakker & Michael Ulrich. They started out in the nineties playing at some of the biggest nights in the Netherlands including Waakzaamheid club and Renaissance. Their style varies depending on what they feel like producing, and to date they have a very impressive list of releases to their name. We are delighted to have the guys on board here at Bonzai and are excited about the times ahead.

The title track DragOn gets us going with a cool punchy kick with a rich string ebbing and flowing in the background. The first break introduces some very cool FX and a short vocal sample before getting right into full on mode as the deep seeded bass works its magic. Intensity builds as the synths embark on their hypnotic journey culminating with some stunning understated riffs. A myriad of FX go off in the background add beautifully woven layers and textures. The main break brings unleashes a seemingly haphazard synth display that adds so much weight to the sound. A brilliantly crafted progressive workout that is not to be missed.

Flooding intros with a filtered kick and bass combi that just teases us as it makes its way towards a wonderfully rich and energetic arrangement. The kicks are transformed into a big punchy hitters as the lush rolling bass generates energy. Multiple FX bring cool textures to the sound and before you know it you're locked right into its stunning groove. This merciless journey is further enhance with the introduction of a superb sub bass that weaves in and out of different acid phases giving off a stomping driving groove. Top notch stuff.

Spoeling sets off with a cool percussion arrangement with various layers building the sound up nicely. A deep and dark bassline soon commands the tracks direction as phat kicks dish out a cool breaks groove. Bright synths and pads provide smooth melodic sequences on the break and are in perfect contrast to the darker tones of the track, resulting in a very dynamic sound that will no doubt appeal to many.
