10 years is a long time in the world of electronic music, and so when a small independent label manages to survive that long, its worth celebrating. A decade of Get Physical Music, creating and shaping its very own genre niche along the way. 10 years brought a lot of ups, a few downs, but always brilliant music. She brought us iconic hits, while at the same time leaving one or two gems behind to be re-discovered by those with a hunger for more.
DJ T. and M.A.N.D.Y., label co-founders and good friends, know this and decided to do something about it. This compilation is the result of their labor. Two track lists, two mixes, and one every special CD. We very proudly present '10 Years Get Physical', a subjective selection of some of the best tracks from the last 10 years. DJ T. chooses the tracks nearest to his heart; Nicholas Jaar's 'Gorilla Hug' remix, Fuckpony's 'Cellphone Hit', his very own 'Philly' and many more. Then he takes our hand and leads us on a journey through time; from the opening chimes of 'Gorilla Hug' to the recent Art Department remix of 'Burning', then all the way back to Raz Ohara's 'Kisses', making many stops along the way, he shows us his impressions of the Label, and what it means to him. T's mix is a collection of the past, the path that brought Get Physical into its 10th year, and perfectly suited for relaxed listening wherever you are. M.A.N.D.Y. on the other hand, takes some of Get Physical's latest innovations, from the chilly Cipy number 'Wheres My Swiss Cat' to a soul-breaking 'Missing Out' form Boris Werner. The boys then throw it out as a spectacular club mix, displaying their natural talent that has thrust them into the spotlight in the first place, over 10 years ago. If DJ T.'s mix is a look back, then M.A.N.D.Y.'s mix is a hint at the future of Get Physical Music. So on that note, heres to another wonderful 10 years and all that comes with it, the music, the people, and the moments - thank you and enjoy. With L.O.V.E., The Get Physical Family
