Aftertech Records thirty-third release 'Awakening Wave' is the thirty-third release of Aftertech Records. Lexy Catcher is an upcoming talent from Russia who shows skills of melodies and power in this great EP. Supported by awesome remixes of Martin Merkel and Sandeep. The title track 'Awakening Wave' starts outs strong with a heavy kick and a sweet on-going percussion. When the bassline comes in it floats heavenly over a delicate but driven melody. Halfway a bright and light pad is introduced which melts perfectly together with it all, like a rising sun over a calm sea. Melancholy is a much darker track than the first. It's going to be a real club killer with its deep sub bass and smartly placed percussion. The ominous introduction slowly introduces new elements. First, a grousing vocal-like synth arises, setting the tone. Then a dirty and rumbling bassline starts growling on top of it all. This track is definitely going to destroy some dance floors. The first on remix duty is Martin Merkel. We wanted to get him on the label for quite a while now and we finally got him! With this remix, he shows his talents once again. He took the sweetness of Awakening Wave and turned into something mellow with his brassy basslines & synths. The power seems to be growing all throughout the track, the synths going all out wobbling all over the place. A very nice remix indeed! Sandeep turned the ominous vibe of 'Melancholy' totally around. He molded it into something chill yet groovy. A deep tom sets the rhythm on which heavenly pads and angel-like voices seem to fly over. It's a track in which you slowly drift away and can only sink deeper and deeper into. A masterpiece that will do very well at a festival on the beach during the setting sun, for sure!
