Many months in the making, the time has come for Lee Burridge and Matthew Dekay to cast off into the sometimes murky waters of label ownership on their beautifully crafted and elegantly named vessel "All Day I Dream", to explore the beautiful, gorgeous, melanchonic shades of house music. The labels sound parallels their daytime parties that are about to beguile the worlds sunny Sunday afternoons. Having already received an overwhelming response to the first two parties, set on New York's scorching rooftops, we wait in breathy anticipation to see just where it will take us..
Today however is all about the label as we prepare to launch 001. A glittering and glowing double-header that finds Barcelona based Audiofly sharing the stage with the label chiefs themselves. Luca Saporito and Anthony Middleton have, over the last 3 years, set about building their own musical empire. With a tireless touring and release schedule the boys are also the driving force behind their own label Supernature and their series of 'Flying Circus' parties sees them hosting events across the globe.
"Sunrise BCN" finds them combining wistful and breathy splashes of vocals that hover seductively over wooden percussion, a melodic glockenspiel line and the beautifully weird organ that arrives in the drop. As with all great stories they save the best for last when everything eventually bows to the scene-stealing bassline. Fantastic.
With one of 2010's most successful chart topping singles,"Wongel" (Cecille) already under their belts and their current killer remix of Ian Pooley's Groove me doing the rounds, label owners Lee Burridge and Matthew Dekay are building quite the repertoire. With an impressive combined knowledge of the dance floor and shared love of melody, it really is no surprise that we are being treated to productions of the quality of "Gemini Spell".Whilst a rich, warm and funky bassline works together with a spritely harpsichord riff. The track, with its eery strings and Crow squawks invokes pictures of a distant dawn approaching. A beautiful wintery music-box
