Producer/Vocalist and Dj, Maniq Zar fell in love with music at age 11 Inspired by family members who then formed a gospel group. At age 16 was introduced to local upcoming kwaito artists while attending high school, 6 years later he then started a djying career and was introduced to turn tables by a colleague and started visiting vinyl records shop time and time. After owning his own turn tables and few vinyls he introduced him self to a popular club and was given a chance as a resident Dj. After his sister assisted with buying 1st studio equipment he started making music till this date.
