DescriptionIan Pooley's most recent album, "What I Do" was released in January and builds upon his past influences while still sounding very much a product of today. The album was met with critical acclaim and huge support amongst the world's best DJs. This remix EP consists of various mixes featuring producers from around the globe, bringing their own flavor to selected tracks.
Stimming delivers a sunny Balearic that's already buzzing hard with European DJs. Matthias Vogt turns in an incredibly emotional, deep track that will have you in tears at the after-party. Kyodai's mix is an airy but chugging deep house track that sounds like a dubby, smoked out basement club. Hailing from Detroit, Delano Smith follows the city's tradition in turning in a subtle, subdued techno track. Daniel Dexter turns in a solid tech-house remix with trippy synths and Magik J's percussive, organic, afro drums sit nicely atop soaring synths which sounds as if Joe Claussell had a baby with Bob Moog. SF's Suburban Dance Club (Plant's own Wool) comes with a deep analog remix that's perfect for blazing one down in your mom's station wagon while cruising around a mall parking lot.
