Funkatech Records has a reputation for bringing the hottest and heaviest dance floor tracks as their recent 60th release from French producer K12 can attest to. Next up the Funkatech crew continue to deliver the highest quality dance music around, this time from another incredible French artist, Stoneway. Infusing heady electro house formulas with summertime vibes and a distinctly euphoric feel, Stoneway makes some of the most energetic tracks around, without resorting to pumping out the same old formula over and over again.Instead youre treated to some Gallic club bombs that will leave crowds sweaty and smiling. First up on the Shrinking Violet EP is the title track. Reminiscent of Wolfgang Gartner but with Stoneways own twist, this tune is an out and out electro banger. Winding synths and an infectious groove are topped with luscious musicality and underpinned with a pounding bassline. Clearly this track is no shrinking violet as it threatens to deliver some serious damage when its dropped. Evolution sees Stoneway bring the energy levels down a little as he rolls out a melodic and funk-infused slice of beautiful electronicmusic. Soft kicks and twinkling melodies progress into rolling breakbeats before the whole track evolves into some serious French-electro funk thats just undeniably great fun for the floor. Last up Stoneway treats us to another different vibe with Keepers a track thats packed with grinding electro pads and a grizzling bassline overlaid with inspiring lyrics and slick edits that all combine to make for a smashing summer anthem. Once again Stoneway proves hes got everything it takes to deliver versatile tracks that sound fantastic in clubs, at festivals and on your headphones.
