Italian producer Vincent Hole writes music with a dark, edgy and synthetic techno sound that is riddled with the history of Detroit. Using analog and digital tools he lays down slick drums and creates a powerful sense of energy that fills clubs with immersive sound. Dirty Minds, Naked Lunch and KMS all release his beats, but on the evidence of this EP, he has saved his finest for !Organism.
Opening the account is 'Chains', a bulky and barreling techno cut with hulking great drums and sinewy synths. It's filled with late night menace and urban turbulence and cannot fail to make a big impact.
'LSD In the Space' is a hammering track with high pressure drums and hits never letting up. Gurgling bass synths add depth to the physical drive of the kicks and white noise sweeps add further tension so that you feel utterly trapped in the moment.
Spaniard Xpansul then steps up and is a prolific remixer for labels like this one as well as Analytic Trail, Abstract Mechanics and countless others. His dynamic sound is displayed here in all its glory as he sequences trance-inducing synths above frazzled pads and hunched drums. It's physical and infectious, and rounds out a top EP.
Once again here !Organism and Hole have cooked up some stellar techno action.
