We welcome the Corduroy Mavericks to the Soulsupplement Records family with the release of their three track Ep “Bout To Lose My Mind”. Two originals from the Mavericks and a remix from Bruno Browning make up this first Soulsupplement Ep from the Mavericks and we’re sure you’re going to dig it as much as we do.

The original mix of “Bout To Lose My Mind” gets things moving and by moving we mean rocking. The Mavs layer a great rhythm section with sexy keys, techy stabs, a subtle bass line and meticulously laid in vocals that we all know and love. This track is why we love the Mavericks…perfect.

Bruno’s Browning’s mix of “Bout To Lose My Mind” is next and his four on the floor take of the original has his stamp all over it. He layers a meaty bass line over a straight forward rhythm section and then gets to work with some key layers and extra percussion. Some extra vocal bits at the end bring this one home as one man “let’s go.”

The Mavericks “Do Without You” takes us home and it’s the perfect way to end the Ep. A little lower bpm and a track that for some reason makes everyone happy inside the Soulsupplement compound. Maybe because it reminds us of a different time or more likely because it’s just a good track. You’re just going to have to listen to this one and wait for the smiling to begin.
