We welcome Barcelona based French Gary Agletiner aka Agle on Days Of Being Wild. Escaped from his atmospheric VHS soundtrack orientated project My Faust, Agle invites his taste for vintage horror movies scores to the dancefloor. An 80' disco and new wave tinted EP haunted by the shadows of John Carpenter and Giorgio Moroder An Easy Heaven hides it nostalgia for cinematic arpeggios and dusty analog synths behind propulsive beats that should keep you dancing till the wee hours.Title track drives through the night straight back in time to the stranger days of 1985, somewhere between Oregon, Twin Peaks and Hawkins.Crystallines synth lines intertwine over a propulsive arpeggiated bass line while the more contemporary Mr Gray with its whipping snare is an invitation to get lost in a dark dungeon where gothic melodies and haunted reverbs resonate through the walls.Limbo pushes the cinematic enveloppe further, a sombre drive on the lost highway. Dreamy synth pads build up over a droning bass and deep low glacial synth notes leading to an infernal finale.Bringing the EP to its climax is the Fabrizio Mamarella remix of An Easy Heaven who invites his sleazy blend of EBM crossed with New Beat to the party. We haven't heard such an evil snare since 1992.Enjoy!
