Tipped as “one to watch” by NME, Mixmag and DJ Mag, TSHA is a London based producer who is quickly emerging as one of the most exciting young artists coming out of the capital. Her forthcoming EP “Flowers”, without doubt her most ambitious and accomplished body of work so far, will be released on 13th November 2020 via Ninja Tune, featuring collaborations with Gabrielle Aplin and Malian griot music group Trio da Kali. Her 2019 debut on Ninja Tune’s Counter Records imprint—‘Moon’— was immediately hailed as one of Billboard's 'Best New Dance Tracks’ with Pete Tong naming it his ‘Essential New Tune’ on BBC Radio 1, describing TSHA as “a rising star!”. The subsequent EP “Moonlight” was #1 in Jamz Supernova’s “EP Top 5” on BBC 1Xtra. Entirely self-taught, TSHA released her debut EP “Dawn” in 2018, setting out her stall as an artist with an ear for warm, groove-laden basslines and bright, melodic hooks. Her follow-up single “Sacred”, released in 2019, immediately caught the ear of Simon Green AKA Bonobo, who included it on his “fabric presents” compilation album, with TSHA also finding a fan in George FitzGerald who supported ‘Sacred’ on his Radio 1 Residency show. Support across DSPs has been immense for TSHA, already amassing almost 15M streams across digital platforms. Recent singles ‘Sister’ and ‘Change’ have received fantastic Spotify coverage including New Music Fridays in over 15 territories including the US and UK, plus editorial playlists such as mint (5.5M), Dance Rising (1.9M), POLLEN (1.3M), Massive Dance Hits (1.2M), Fresh Finds (714K), Friday Cratediggers (297K), Deephouse Delight (138K), TOP SHELF ELECTRONIC (111K) and many more. TSHA has graced the cover of UK House Music (671K) and Friday Cratediggers (305K) and Altar (250k), respectively and has previously provided a playlist takeover on Spotify’s All Night. A Spotify global mobile home banner supported the release of her “Moonlight” EP. Previous TSHA tracks have featured in Spotifyplaylists Chill Tracks (2.7M), Chillout Lounge (1M), Electronic Rising (342K), Ibiza Sunset (320K) and The Wind Down (172K). TSHA currently curates her own Spotify playlist titled ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ which features an eclectic mix of artists including Jon Hopkins, Suzanne Kraft, Jacques Greene and Channel Tres. Amazon Music UK featured TSHA in their annual Ones to Watch list for 2020 alongside Celeste, Arlo Parks, Squid and Bbeabadoobee. Press coverage for the “Flowers” EP announcement included Resident Advisor, NME, DJ Mag, Magnetic Mag, Dancing Astronaut, XLR8R, Gorilla vs Bear, The Vinyl Factory, Our Culture Mag, Enlightenment For Your Ears, Waves over Quakes. Further press features charting TSHA’s fast rise include Billboard (‘Dance Emerging Artists: October 2019’), DJ Mag (‘Desert Island Kit’) and The List. Plus international press outlets AusPOP, NME (AU), Trackr (FR), Barks, Indie Native, Nico Video, NME, Qetic, Trend Music News, Warszawa, and Yahoo (JP). Previous single ‘Moon’ was remixed by India Jordan (Local Action), Brame & Hamo and Cromby (Feel My Bicep, Silver Service) with stunning results. Club support for TSHA includes Laurent Garnier, Sasha, Groove Armada and Maribou State. TSHA has herself remixed the likes of Foals, Throwing Snow, Qrion (Anjunadeep), Prospa and most recently, Lianne La Havas. TSHA played multiple sets at The Warehouse Project 2019 season including Mura Masa’s 'Raw Youth Collage' party and Annie Mac’s 'Halloween Spectacular'. She also played at the iconic Printworks in London alongside Hunee & Antal (Rush Hour) and Motor City Drum Ensemble in October 2019. Plus international festival appearances at CRSSD (US), SXSW (US), Nova Batida (PT) and more. TSHA will also be appearing at UK festival Field Day in 2021, sharing the bill with the likes of Bicep, Floating Points, Jayda G and Mount Kimbie. Annie Mac recently gave new single ‘Change’ its first play on BBC Radio 1 and TSHA jumped on the decks for an exclusive guest mix for Flava D (also on BBC Radio 1). Further support for TSHA on the airwaves includes Pete Tong who recently awarded ‘Sister’ #4 in his ‘Top 5 Summer Tunes of 2020’ list, Danny Howard, Jamz Supernova, MistaJam, Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1. TSHA previously hosted a monthly show on tastemaker radio station Worldwide FM run by British mainstay and BBC 6 Music DJ, Gilles Peterson, who booked TSHA to play at the inaugural edition of his brand new festival, We Out Here in August 2019. TSHA has also hosted shows on Rinse FM (UK and France) and Reprezent. More recently, TSHA contributed a “Mix Up” mix for Australian national radio station Triple J and a 'Midnight In A Perfect World' mix for US radio station KEXP. Bonobo recently previewed forthcoming track ‘Demba (feat. (feat. Trio Da Kali)’ on his OUTLIER show on NTS radio.
