Enduring ambitions only has good prospects if they’re not distracted by vanities. With good reason they say that strength of purpose is the most important foundation to succeed in life. Although traditional virtues such as humility, patience, capability and faith in your own abilities seem to loose their meaning in our modern times – for the producer duo Junge Junge they built the tesserae of their long journey that has just begun.
Even fate played a minor part in the story of Rochus Grolle and Michael Noack because before they joint forces as Junge Junge both DJs saw each other during several gigs. Because the chemistry was right, and initially after they shared one funny party together in 2013 they decided to transfer this spirit into the studio. The rest isn’t just history, even through their childhoods both guys are connected by the common passion for (electronic) music. While Rochus took pleasure in compiling and playing music inspired by the record collection of his parents, Michael’s uncle that loved reggae music roused his passion for grooves and rhythms. One Junge got acquainted with the necessary harmonics and experimented with volume controls by what he already laid the foundation for the art of DJing, the other Junge dived into the magic word of melodies by learning how to play acoustic instruments such as guitar and keyboard. From the mixing skills of Carl Cox to the variety of radio luminary Steve Mason to the still-ongoing creativity of Sven Väth – the duo gets their inspirations not only from colleagues, but also spread them during their own gigs at Love Parade in Berlin, Ibiza’s Amnesia or Frankfurt’s Dorian Gray club – to name but a few.
