Barcelona-based audiovisual producer beGun draws inspiration from his travels all over the world and
captures the atmosphere from the cities and countries that he visits through his deeply personal blend of
house-oriented soundscapes and techno-influenced beats. Since his emergence in 2014 beGun has had a
whirlwind three years with international bookings all around the world (Sonar Festival, Boiler Room, Mutek
Festival, SXSW, Piknic Electronik, Oval Space, Nitsa Club, BBK Live, Ceremonia, SOMA, Plissken Fest, RBMA
Madrid, DGTL Festival, Magnetic Fields, Bahidora amongst others) plus several releases to his credit (“San
Francisco” EP, “Shanghai” EP, “Mumbai” EP) including a few collaborations by renowned peers like Com
Truise, Nicola Cruz, Giraffage, Ambassadeurs, Applescal, Blackbird Blackbird, Bastille and Doc Daneeka.
After his worldwide acclaimed debut album 'AMMA' (Foehn Records, 2016), beGun starts this new year with
two EPs: ‘SLUM Ep' (Nazca Records) and 'KRBT' (Sincopat), marking a captivating evolution from much that has
come before. These new works highlight the cinema of beGun’s productions; they are built to dance but,
most importantly, they are built to emote. Born Gunsal H Moreno, the producer evolves towards a more
robust, mature and vibrant sound from an introspective dance to a full-on communal journey that feels
larger-than-life. Real-world traditional percussion, shimmering analog synth-pads and ethnic vocal chops are
sewn together in his electronic hybrid assemblage of blissful music. The remixes by El Buho and Klik & Frik
add two fresh re-oriented versions with ethnic tin pot percussion sprinkled over the top and big drums laying
down the grooves.
Parallel to the launch of these two new works, beGun presents with Marc Fernández (Ocellot) a new
electronic music project, AKKAN, whose first EP will be published on La Belle Records in February of this
same year.
