Hawaii's Asylum Confidential return this June with Loic Tambay's 'Uproot' EP, accompanied by a remix from Jozif.

Born out of the after-hours nightclub on its homeland of Honolulu, Hawaii, the Asylum Confidential imprint is an underground house and techno imprint with a nod towards the melodic and emotive. Predominantly a home for affiliates of the club and events but also featuring remixes from the likes of Butane, Ardalan and Corey Baker, Asylum Confidential is a driving force for electronic music from the pacific island.

Title-track 'Uproot' takes the lead with a multi-layered melodious feel, employing elongated sub drones, soaring atmospherics and unfolding chord sequences as the driving force before 'Rubber Monkey' follows and ups the energy levels with vacillating bass leads, twinkling synth chimes and crunchy percussion.

London's Jozif steps up to rework 'Rubber Monkey' next, stamping his own mark on things with a frenetic, organic drum groove running alongside intricately chopped and processed snippets from the original composition. 'Durban Poison' then closes out the record with delay arpeggio licks, spiralling synth effects and a chugging rhythmic drive.
