Black Girl/White Girl deliver two slices of grooving, bumpy tech-house in their Red Giant EP release on New Violence Records supported with a remix from Andrew Beat.
With previous releases on Roush, Flashmob and Criminal Hype, the girls' creations have gained support from Sante, Waff, Sidney Charles, Cuartero amongst others. Now they make their debut on UK based label, new Violence Records featuring a stripped down, heads down remix from Andrew Beat known for his work on Snatch! & Solid Grooves.
Red Giant kicks things off with grooving, jacking percussion and a peppering of swirling chopped vocals complimented by some hypnotic stabs whereas Andrew Beat's remix strips things right back centering on a bumping groove with those vocals taking centre stage as the track progresses. 9 Souls drops the tempo but ratchets up the atmospherics. A pulsing bassline and tripped out vocal snippets weave darkly in the background building to lighter shades of synth in the breaks.
