Time was when Faux Tales needed nothing more than a Beatles tape and an old piano in the Swiss Alps to ignite his enthusiasm for music. However, the tapes and piano were soon replaced by keyboards and synthesizers and the first band followed shortly after, and the excursion behind a guitar stopped short. During his studies in music and media art, Timo Loosli (aka Faux Tales) turned back to his roots, and found success in large festivals and sweaty basement clubs as one half of the electro-combo 'We Love Machines'. The impressions that this experience left, mixed with his fascination for the 'Grand Masters' of the genre, like Daft Punk or Justice, and his old love for post-rock, led Faux Tales into a unique melange of pumping, melody-filled club music that, despite the fist-pumping, remains ambitious. Already now, his remixes for M83, IAMX or Bastille are heating the international dance floors to burning point, and his debut EP 'Another Mile' looks like it will continue to raise the temperature. Ladies & gents: Faux Tales is on the rise.
