With unforgettable contributions to our imprint now spanning the better part of the last decade, Vintage and Morelli continues to awe listeners with his distinctively emotive style of electronic music, ranging in genre from house and progressive to breaks and downtempo. Fresh off a recent live appearance at Luminosity Beach Festival, the Serbian phenom presents "Aurora," a hypnotic and truly breathtaking progressive opus.
Kicking off with a deep-progressive rhythm, "Aurora" offers an evocative soundscape in the early going, courtesy of lush and sensual pads, as well as a variety of celestially inspired arp lines. The song's most emotionally incisive melodic element arrives shortly thereafter: an ethereal series of pitched-down vocal effects, the soulfulness of which immediately elicits the listener's vulnerability. The progression gently crescendoes, ultimately leading to a cinematic, string-backed orchestral section, which is later joined by a rousing new lead theme, featuring an array of euphonious and euphoric synths. As if birthed from the far reaches of the cosmos, the indelibly poignant theme that arrives at this moment (and continues through the drop) serves as a sort of spiritual beacon for the listener and offers a profound catharsis.
