Marck D, aka Charlie Escobar, is a regular on the !Organism label as both a solo artist and in collaboration with Andres Gil, and here he returns on his own for a tidy new brace of tracks that come with a remix by Italys Alex Di Stefano.
Influenced by the likes of Len Faki and Alan Fitzpatrick, Marck D has also released on Illegal Alien, Naked Lunch and Darknet and so is a very real voice in the global techno conversation.
His first track here Keep On is a deeply rooted techno roller with dark kicks, a groaning, buried deep baseline and itchy hi hats driving the whole thing along. Slowly growing ever livelier, cleverly filtered chords and blasts of white noise add plenty of tension to this no-messing warehouse jam.
Marcks other original The Road is a more slick and hypnotic bit of techno that rolls through dark tunnels as hiccupping percussive sounds peel off the well-chiseled groove. Spangled, drunken synth sounds also roam about in the track and ebb and flow perfectly, adding plenty of dynamism.
Close label friend Alex Di Stefano who also works for the likes of Umeks 1605 and his own Binary404 label then turns out a frazzled, rocking and hugely textured remix that teases listeners with lots of industrial tension.
As this EP proves there is no stopping Organism despite it now having put out more than 50 releases!
