The Original Mix gets going with a nice punchy kick alongside a fantastic energetic bassline that teases as it fades through. Various FX are expertly placed within the sound giving an airy spacious feel. As the layers build we get drawn into a wonderful tribal driven groove delivered by some stunning percussion arrangement. Ethnic chants are coupled with spoken vocals to great effect bringing something different to the progressive nature of the sound. Such a powerful groove that will be a firm favourite among many for sure.
Loquai is up first on the remix and he delivers another stunning slice of prog which we are accustomed to here at Bonzai. After a short hiatus he was back on Phi Phi & Airwave's Vanilla as well as an appearance on Club Traxx 2 Breaks. Here he raises the bar with a beautifully crafted deep progressive groove. Punchy kicks and a tight percussion arrangement get the rhythms flowing alongside a throbbing bass that sits perfectly within the sound. Bright synths add contrast as the layers build bringing a myriad of sounds. The break throws up a wonderful musical sequence filled with sweeping pads and cool ethnic chants alongside a subtle arp pattern. An epic slice of prog that will be a welcome addition in any box.
It's been a while since CJ Art last graced these shores, it was back in 2012 on Nancy Burrello & Digital Angel's Time X. As well as this remix CJ also makes an appearance on Club Traxx 2 Breaks. Here the track intros with a tight drum arrangement filled with punchy kicks, cool FX and vocal snippets which injects a sprinkling of psy. The track lifts off with the bassline as it drives the groove beautifully into the progressive abyss and beyond. The break solidifies the groove as the bassline strolls along beside some very nice pads and subtle melodies. Fantastic stuff that is not to be missed.
