From Cordoba, at the foothills of the Sierras Chicas, Argentinean producer, Guillermo Cornejo, has seen much success using his Antrim production alter-ego. An artist with a wealth of experience and knowledge, he began learning his craft aged 14. Success has been a constant companion, not least when Nick Warren used the Hope signed, "Blow Your Mind" for his Renaissance compilation. With material signed to Perspectives Digital, Balkan Connection and Luis Bondio's Classound imprint, Antrim has not looked back as he continues his production assault.
Reworking, Dousk, the Antrim remix of "Look Good Tonight" revels in South American percussive rhythms that provide a light and groove-laden backdrop. A strong beat provides substance as an intelligent reimagining of the bass line, so central to the original, anchors proceedings in sumptuous fashion. The vocal sample, also a key part of the original, is heard at intermittent intervals throughout as a plucked riff adds to the rhythmic joy, accompanied by a collage of melodic lines and pads in a work of skill and technique.
