iso:R (Yosuke Onishi) has slashed onto the dance music scene over the past few years with a steady stream of heavy hitters, harnessing the destructive force of the East Wind and channeling it into each explosive track he has produced. Hailing from Sapporo Japan, iso:R brings a unique sound and style to his productions that help him stand out from the crowd of bass producers. Brutal breakdowns and insane saws are the calling cards of this master swordsman as he slices and dices samples and melodies to create intricate tracks that take no prisoners.
Now gearing up for his third release on Impossible Records, iso:R brings the heat with his latest EP titled 'Kagetora.' This four track EP has a little bit of everything you know and love from iso:R with a fresh twist. 'Kagetora,' the first track and title track of the EP, pulls no punches as it winds up and lets you have a serious serving of bass designed to kill if you resist. The second track, 'Made In Japan,' brings some unique Japanese sampling into the mix while layering in sinister bass lines to create an extremely progressive and aggressive experience. The third track, 'TEOJ,' a return to the slower heavier side of dubstep that will have you headbanging to the heavy 2/2 hits from the bass cannon. This track stands out from the rest of iso:R's usually fast paced assaults and is a nice change of pace and tribute to the origins of dubstep. 'Animal Instincts,' the fourth track on the EP, sees the primal side of iso:R come out with this dubstep assault on the ear drums leaving carnage in its wake.
