The versatile Dee Jay Cocoe has been performing for the Californian music scene for over a decade through his Abstract Workshop Hip-Hop collective, performing beside megastars The Black Eyed Peas, and alongside DJ’s such as Mark Farina, Little Louie Vega and Joe Claussell. He is also a valued member of pioneering Ubiquity Records. Always conscious and ever soulful, Cocoe has finally graced Immigrant with one of his deepest house trax to date. So genuine the track, Jay Haze and Cadenza’s Alejandro Vivanco were chomping at the bit to remix it. A bonus digital remix is supplied by Southern California’s Dean DeCosta. Dean has been a pivotal techno producer in the US for over a decade, and we are proud to have him join the party. Together with Long Beach vocalist Mukwenda, this EP blends house and techno genres, appeasing both dance floor and listening sensibilities. Cocoe has been part of the Immigrant family for years, its now time for that recognition on a global scale.
