DescriptionPehr Herb and Thomas Jaldemark (of Donk Boys acclaim) make up the swedish techno duo Kretipleti. Working seriously together since 2009, they have released over fifteen 12 records and have established themselves as a credible force on the international techno scene. Remixes from Berk Offset (Musik Krause) and Alicia Hush (Siteholder, HushLamb) spread KPs hustling and aggressive heat into those strange places that we dont talk about in public.
Restid, the opener and title track of the release, swells from the very beginning into a pulsing, hypnotic arpeggio that never relents, building tension throughout. Warehouse atmospherics and industrial clangs shatter the mix into pieces of nervous apprehension, and nostalgic dark rooms of the past. Alicia Hushs workout tightens things up a bit with super-punchy percussion, a laid back color-outside-of-the-lines playful sensibility, and a superbly intellectual arrangement of sonic surprises.
Kretipletis second offering, Shaclop, comes correct with a huge low end theory and an acid line for the ages. With another atmospheric and acidic rolling builder of a track, these guys have carved themselves a spot into the landscape of deep and dark, hands-in-the-air techno. Berk Offset fills out the EP with his interpretation of Shaclop. Berks vision swings the proverbial sledgehammer at the face of common, four-to-the-floor electronic music. The groove he creates dangling percussion, lead, and bass elements, all stumbling over each other is pure genius.
