Sanfuentes Records' quest for bringing elegantly stripped-down yet tough-as-nails techno continues here with MIJO's new EP 'Economic' containing four tracks sure to transform the club's air into electricity - different voltages triggering sultry, mysterious rhythms. Italian master Fabrizio Mammarella's (aka Clap Rules & Telespazio) remix of the title track captures the 'Economic' EP's essence in full, delivering a face-melting rhythm track that's been test-driven to elicit some screams on the dancefloor. Latin American club nights have a style of their own, where playfulness and the always-effective "less is more" approach is the rule. No gimmicks no flash. Jack or Whack.
Born in 1990, the prolific young Mexican multi-instrumentalist/producer Alec Sander has already worn several different masks (La Royale, Yesco, Moon Runner) and steps forward as the man behind MIJO. One of the founders of the highly acclaimed Mexican electronic labels Electrique Music, Disque Discos and Exxxtra Picante, that through the years have become global benchmarks of the music made in Mexico, constantly pushing the envelope in helping create the latin techno identity.
