Simple, stripped and effective, 'Black Out' packages only a handful of superbly placed sounds into a tough, post-tribal groovetool that expands effortlessly over a full 9 minutes. Mochi's trademark thunderous bass energies work in unison with tricky percussion patterns and teasing, rewarding moments of tension, building to rapturous explosions of static electricity!
'Brunt' goes further into Mochi's deep-rolling, intense bass world, this time coupling the urgent, reduced percussion with thick room filling metallic stabs that might have been forged from the molten depths of techno's very core... Thats not to say its a scary ride however, as the pure funk and drive will lift your hands up and make your heart race.
Finally 'Whiplash' rides in to tie up the package. A pacy, twitching drumtrack, its dry and energetic percussive landscape unfolds amongst yet more static outbursts and thrilling, synthetic swells. Perhaps the most sinister cut of the EP, Mochi keeps the energy flowing with his fine tuned production style and unmistakable power from start to finish.
