Whether he's compiling music for his world-famous Resident radio show, touring the globe, creating epic musical memories with long-time DJ partner, Nick Warren or working on his own tracks, Hernan Cattaneo has, for the last 30 years, devoted every waking moment in the pursuit of perfection and together with studio partners, Soundexile, he has created dance floor dynamite: a subtle groover with sledgehammer impact.
Based around a shaker-led percussion and off-kilter low end touches, delicate synth notes punctuate adding flavour to the drummy undercurrent; emotive pads draw the listener in for a closer look. Slowly, the groove reveals itself, reaching fever pitch in the second half. On remix duties, Davi takes things into deeper waters emphasising the emotive qualities of the original to devastating effect.
