Herzblut family favourite, Maxime Dangles, returns home to showcase his latest, and for us, finest work to date.
Maxime Dangles has successfully straddled sounds and genres with a certain panache. Having signed his first productions to the legendary Kompakt imprint, he was immediately labeled as the new young starlet of the France's electronic 'avant-garde' scene. But Maxime's music stretches much further and sees him confidently releasing work with a variation of labels. His techier 'big room' sound has seen him feature his music on Affin, Bedrock, Break New Soil and Skryptom among others.
2013 saw Maxime make his Herzblut debut with the incredible Oralipse, soon followed by his collaboration with Electric Rescue, the Melomis EP. Both releases further highlighted the all-encompassing reach of Dangles' music. A trait that his new Antyphase EP is surely set to strengthen.
Rubix opens the ep with its frightening kick-drum, groovin' bassline and creepy yet playfully piercing synth riff. Title track AntyPhase cuts down all in its path with its relentless and hypnotic bass fuelled slicing. Ephrom closes this monumental ep and again its the bottom-end and groove that take centre stage. Sounds the horns Maxime blows the bins and rolls the drums. Perfection.
