Based in Flint, MI; Jon Salem has made a staggering roll intohis integration within the Detroit local scene. He startedattending clubs in 2006 and ultimately bought his first set inthe summer of 2008 and began experimenting around withthe likes of Trance and Progressive House. As hecontinually to attended clubs to seek a variety of inspirationin sound, Jon worked diligently to refine his genre and learnhis technique. At the end of 2010, 4-years of networking and2-years personal play finally gave way. He has impressed me more thananyone has in the last 5 years.”Jon impressed Dabura beyond expectation and continuedon to do a residency with him every weekend After Hours.Beyond this; Jon has done a Guest Mix for the lateSuboutRadio.com, has played a benefit show at formerMonarch Nightclub, and has done a short residency with theDetroit based Deep Sessions. He continues to thrive fornew shows and more energy with an orchestra of variousTech House and Techno themes.In his latest feats, Jon Salem has been a primary developer,creationist, and coordinator for a newly formed and greatlyanticipated electronic music festival, called Drop Fest, in hishometown. For the festival, he has booked a variety of actsfrom around the state. He also has plans to help build andmaintain this festival each year, making it something biggerand better with an increasing variety of talent from insideand outside of Michigan. Most recently, he has officiallyreleased his first EP on Spaceland Records in May 2013.
