  • Catalog 238W021
The 21st release on 238W sees one of electronic music's most loved producers Jesse Oliver making his debut on the label in the form of the tech/prog remix edition of the highly successful "Judgement Day" EP which comes with three new remixes from: Biologic, Dust Yard and The Bassment.

Biologik's titanium coated interpretation has a poignant and impactful feel. Jagged sub tones and a profoundly subversive bass line that reaches rib cage breaking depths sits at the foundation. Draped with sheets of percolating effects a futuristic and deeply thought provoking set of tone bending chords wash over the composition which creates a rather daunting and ominous mood. The composition peaks with the lead chords warping and twisting their way to a momentous sonic conclusion.

The second remix comes courtesy of French based Dust Yard who is famed for his outstanding productions on 238W; most notably 'Tricky Strike'. His recent 'Sundew' track also on 238W has been heralded by many melodic techno fans as one of the tracks of the year thus far and has earned serious praise from leading lights of the prog/tech cosmos. The moody theme from the original is maintained and presented with a tougher and even more warped sensibility, which should wreak havoc on even the most discerning dance floors.

The Bassment who has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success, over the course of his career, supplies the third remix of "Judgment Day". As one of Switzerland's most talented and sought after music producers Valentin aka The Bassment has completely overhauled the huge original into a funky, wobbly, orchestral techno mix for the ages. An irresistibly chunky groove is complemented with gorgeous piano accents, shuffling drums and panoramic, widescreen synths for what results in one of Valentin's most unique and inspiring studio creations to date.
