The deep grooves of 'Heat' are immediately captivating. The warm rolling bass tones and subtle rhythmic stabs are tantalizing not only to the ears but also to your feet. Stergios always has a knack for creating these wonderful spacey grooves and this one is not only funky but quite seductive as well. The lone remix of 'Heat' is provided by Stage Van H and Rogier who are regular studio companions. The Greek duo have written several originals and also remixes for Movement Recordings in the past and they've once gain crafted something special here. They've added an even warmer, fuller and more atmospheric vibe to the piece that gives it an amazing presence. The meaty groove and bubbly electronics work so well with windswept back drop that it's one you just wish was even longer than its eight minute duration.
The second original on the release 'High Hopes' presents a slightly funkier and decidedly more progressive groove. Fresh vocal stabs and a delicately quirkily lead work together in magical fashion for an up tempo gem from Stergios. The lone remix of 'High Hopes' is provided by Enormous Dee and Antoni Rasic who are also no strangers to Movement. The duo delivered their 'Marmalade' EP just about a year ago and Enormous Dee has also contributed to several other projects on the label. Here the pair have provided a big, driving interpretation of 'High Hopes' that makes great use of the vocal stab and also adds a wicked array of lead elements that push the track even closer to peak time.
The release is closed out with a third original production from Stergios entitled 'Module'. This puts a marvellous cap on the release with a positively gorgeous sounding vibe. The muted pianos, succulent vocal wails, softly textured stabs and a warm, hazy sheen all combine for something that is undeniably positive to close the release out.
